Junebug in the Garden Cooking Class
Junebug in the Garden Cooking Class
From harvest to plate; three easy, delicious and healthy recipes
At the farm stand we often get asked what to do with the many different vegetables we grow and sell.
"How do I cook this? What is this good with? How do you eat that? What it in the gastronomic world is that?"
Join us for our on-farm participatory cooking class where New Earth Farm’s Executive Chef Juni Tennant will demonstrate easy, delicious and healthy recipes, straight from the garden! Participate in harvesting, creating and enjoying a three course meal in this hands-on event, all in the serene setting of our Learning Garden! (see photos below.) You will also be provided with recipes for each featured ingredient. After the harvest and preparation, everyone sits down to enjoy the food together along with local cheeses from Shady Goat Farm and wine pairings!

Juni was born in Spain and spent his formative years in Italy as well as having traveled to many parts of the world. His enjoyment of food was inspired by his Andalusian mother who would teach him recipes she learned from locals in the places they lived. His early appreciation for food was magnified through his many travels to places such as Egypt, Madagascar, Bolivia, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Portugal and France just to mention a few.
